The Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary would not be able to help so many wildlife without the help of our dedicated volunteers. Opportunities are available to work directly with wildlife and help in other areas that provide vital support to the animals.
If you are interested in volunteering, please review the available opportunities in the left menu and complete the online application on that page. Each position has unique requirements, responsibilities and time commitments to suit your needs. Some positions are suitable for co-op students, high school students and others completing community service hours.

Please note that there is no public transit to the wildlife centre. We are located about 30 minutes from westend Ottawa, 45 minutes from downton, and an hour from eastend Ottawa.
